Can't recommend your cottage enough, stunning, excellent quality, so well thought through with that extra attention to detail, was just way beyond our expectations! Local area beautiful, thank you for suggesting having a BBQ at the beach and watching the sunset, we can't wait to return. Look at what the big kids created on the beach!

We have just got home after a wonderful stay at Rose Cottage 🌹 The cottage was everything we could have hoped for, beautifully decorated and furnished with lots of extra touches that made our stay even better - everything was thought of to make it a real home from home. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in a beautiful location.

I've just spent the week from Sat 17th July at Rose Cottage and it has been one of the best breaks I've ever had in the UK. The personalised service by Gill is just the start when it comes to Rose Cottage from the booking process to the arrival pack and then the cottage itself it's a great place to stay. The cottage; is as described quirky and a but different but there is plenty of space and every thing you need and more for any length of stay. Rooms are all spacious and decorated better than you will see in the majority of holiday lets and this just makes it feel like home. Cemaes Bay; the village is welcoming and has all you need for a break. The bay is excellent with a proper beach that kids (even big ones 😉) can enjoy with all you need within walking distance. The North Anglesey coast is really nice and my only regret is I didn't explore it more. I'll definitely be back for another visit

Having not been to Anglesey for years (I don't know why?) my husband found this absolute gem of a cottage in Cemaes, all I can say is the man did good 👌 This cottage is absolutely beautiful in every way, the conversations with Gill months before we arrived, were very informative, she has literally thought of EVERYTHING! Even though I've not met her in person I feel like I know her, and she's so lovely 🥰 We had our daughter and partner join us for a night and my parents and grandmother for another 2 nights they all fell in love with rose cottage 🌹 it was a real tug for them to leave, there was plenty of space for us all and plenty of bedding, towels, crockery, cutlery Everything! My absolute favourite part of the cottage without doubt is the conservatory I think I spent most of my time in there. The beds are really comfy, there are plenty of cushions and blankets for snuggling up on the sofas, there are sun loungers to use in fact there is a bbq, utensils, plastic crockery all to be used for a bbq on the beach if you fancy. Omg this is turning into an essay! I don't want to miss anything out, it's been a wonderful week, in the most chilled way and a brilliant reintroduction to the island, Gill you've made this place absolutely perfect.... I DON'T WANT TO GO HOME 😭 we'll be back definitely. X

My daughter and son in law stayed here for a week and we visited them while they were there. What an absolutely wonderful place every need was catered for and the garden was magical.

Beautiful clean cottage. Crisp clean cotton sheets on a comfy bed . Peaceful garden full of flowers . Everything you need to relax and unwind. Short walk to the harbour for the beautiful beach and sunsets . The cottage is a credit to you Gill. Nicest seaside place I have ever stayed at with my other half and well behaved dog . we will be back . Thank you. Just what we needed . xx

Absolutely fabulous cottage, can’t recommend high enough. It’s a cosy, friendly, spotless gem in a beautiful little bay. The bedding and beds are superbly comfortable, fantastic quality bed linen. It’s fully equipped, from art equipment for the children, to beach chairs, bbq, to the complimentary welcome basket on arrival. Car park is 2 mins from the house, local shop a few doors down and the beach/harbour 5 mins away. Dog friendly beaches are walking distance. 10/10!

Wow what a super time we had at Rose cottage in Caemes Bay! Gill thinks of everything and the cottage is gorgeous. From the welcome pack of yummy treats to the thoughtful crabbing nets for the girls, she really has covered all bases and beyond. Which came in handy on our one rainy day, when the girls found the oil paints in the cupboard  and inspired by all the super art around them decided to create their own! Thanks for letting us stay.  Thanks Gill for letting us stay at your beautiful cottage. The cottage is decorated beautifully and there’s a welcome basket of goodies on arrival. There’s all the special touches and a lot of thought and love has gone into this place. We enjoyed drinks sunbathing in the garden but also spent time on the beach as it’s a five minute walk away. We watched the sunset on the beach too! We would recommend this cottage to anyone and also restaurants; The Sea Shanty and The Lobster Pot.

We spent a lovely week in Rose Cottage, it was truly special. We are regular visitors to Anglesey, at least once a year since forever, and we were over the moon to discover this absolute treasure via Facebook marketplace. We’ve used various holiday companies and without a doubt Gill’s warm manner and friendly attentive service far exceeds them all - from start to finish Gill made the experience so effortless, nothing was ever to much. Rose Cottage itself was absolutely stunning, a true home from home where everything had been thought of. The decoration was beautiful, access to things like camping chairs and a portable BBQ meant we didn’t over pack and the garden, games and craft provisions were certainly appreciated. The cottages location was AMAZING, a few minutes walk to the beach for excellent paddleboarding, swimming and of course crabbing - one of our favourite family holiday activities. Highly recommended grabbing a beach pizza and enjoying the epic sunsets over the bay! We spent at least four evenings either taking in the views, walking the coastal path or paddleboarding when the beach was deserted. We also enjoyed a very wet day wander at Cemlyn, Seal and Turn spotting. Family foodie tips we enjoyed beach pizzas - they deserve a second mention, chips and drinks at Gwesty Gadlys, The Sea Shanty abd The Oyster Catcher but the milk vending machine for milkshakes was the best by far, it made our daughters day! Seriously cannot recommend Rose Cottage (& Gill) highly enough - I don’t want to shout to loudly though as I fear we’ll never get booked in again. A special shout out to the neighbours to, they were lovely. Some locals get annoyed by tourists but we were welcomed with open arms and friendly chat. Thanks The Brown Family x

We’ve massively enjoyed our stay here at Rose Cottage. We have never stayed somewhere so well equipped and with such thoughtful, homely touches. Thank you! The weather hasn’t been the best for our stay but we’ve made the most that all Cemaes and Anglesey has to offer. Plus it’s not rained at all. We have enjoyed Foal Farm and Pili Palas and Haley Mon Sea salt factory. Also the milkshake yard! Anyway thanks so much for the stay, really appreciate it, Love, Michelle, Becky and Wilf (Bristol). xxx

At the beginning of our trip we were fortunate enough to meet Gill who proved to be an extremely friendly and professional owner. Rose cottage couldn’t have been better. It was beautifully equipped with everything we needed to make for a perfect stay. The basket of goodies was much appreciated, a nice touch. Thank you to Gill and hubby, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Christa, Paul & Bonnie.

Gill, what can I say. We are so thankful to have discovered your beautiful cottage. It is absolutely stunning in every way. Location is amazing. Such beautiful scenery on our fabulous walks each day. We actually got to see two seals swimming up at the cove by the brick works. We have been tired each day but a happy tired. As I stated earlier the dog as also loved it, but is now sat beside me “broken”. The local butchers sell the best pork pies I have ever tasted. We are also taking a meat hamper back with us. We went out to the Gadlys Pub twice. They are dog friendly and staff are so lovely. The cottage is cozy and just perfect to come back to at the end of a very tiring day. If you want a lazy supper, the fish and chip shop just a stones through away from the cottage is superb and they also do Gluten free chips. Hope everyone enjoys the beautiful beaches, country strolls or hikes and peace and tranquillity as much as we have. Many thanks to Gill and hubby for making us feel right at home here, with all their attention to detail. Hope to visit again soon. Gill & Michael Amey.

It’s location is brilliant, access to all amenities in the high street and then so close to the beautiful beach. Gill is so lovely too, nothing to much trouble. Many thanks for such a lovely week .  Just back from a wonderful week at Rose Cottage, which felt like a home from home. A warm and cosy cottage in a great location with everything we needed. Communication with the owners before and during the trip was quick and easy, we couldn’t have asked for anything more from them. Looking forward to our next visit already.

Rose cottage is a lovely, cosy comfortable cottage. Kitchen is extremely well equipped with every utensil you could wish for, including a sharp knife! Lots of seating and the conservatory is lovely, came in very handy for the day we were ‘rained in’. Lots of activities to do if you needed them. Newborough and Lligwy beaches are gorgeous for a nice walk. Cemaes Bay is lovely but due to the really spell of bad weather we didn’t see it or other parts of Anglesey at its best. We were lucky to meet Gill albeit briefly, very good host, very helpful. Lovely meal at The Sea Shanty at Trearddur Bay and Catch 22 Brasserie. Smashing Sunday dinner at the local Gadlys Hotel and of course fish and chips from the local chippy. Really enjoyed the break even though the weather wasn’t on our side.  Fabulous cottage - had everything that I could have asked for. Weather has been kind so plenty of walking and exploring. The coast and countryside around the cottage is beautiful. Thank you Gill you couldn’t have been more helpful and the welcome hamper was just what was needed after a long drive. The perfect break and perfect location to explore Anglesey and North Wales. I am sure I will be back to experience more. Sarah

Well what can I say !! The cottage is just adorable and so lovely everything is dry well catered for. Came for a weekend and it’s just not long enough. We could very easily live here !! No negatives at all and I can’t believe people actually have any negative comments. Would definitely come back again and I have already recommended it to my sister who is looking for a small break.  Such a gorgeous property and everything has been thought of, booked as a surprise for Dad’s birthday and we honestly couldn’t have booked anywhere more perfect.  Rose Cottage is exceptional, Gillian-went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. All the extra attention to detail, from the welcome basket filled with chocolates and Baileys/Bally Castle. We loved it, everything and would highly recommend Rose Cottage. Gillian’s attention to detail - the craft box made our day ! It was so well resourced and everything was provided for our access and we couldn’t fault anything. Such a cosy cottage said Wendy. Rose Cottage has everything and more said Aimee. Ling thought the beds were comfy and locals welcoming. Anna is coming back soon with her family. The photos of the cottage don’t do the cottage justice.  This holiday home has absolutely everything you could wish for. Surprisingly roomy and the owners have thought very hard about what you may need when staying away from home. The garden is beautiful and an ideal place to relax with a glass of wine . Inside, there are no faults to be found. Each bedroom was decked out above and beyond expectations. The owner was also extremely helpful on the one occasion we needed to contact her. Top marks and would definitely stay again.

"Our stay at Rose Cottage was way beyond our expectations and as soon as we opened the front door of the cottage we felt completely at home.  We couldn’t believe how many pots and pans, cutlery, utensils and glassware were in the kitchen and even a welcome pack with lovely chocolate biscuits and a bottle of wine. We spent lots of time in the conservatory just looking out on to the beautiful and colourful private back garden and then delving in to the craft boxes, we even made our own Jubilee flag ready to take to the harbour for the beacon lighting. The local area is stunning and it’s such a short walk to the beach and harbour.  We watched the local fishing boat come in to the harbour and then sell all the days catch from the harbour wall. The local cafés and restaurants served all locally sourced food and everyone was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.  The nearest café is just about 4 doors down from the cottage! Gill has gone above and beyond to make Rose Cottage the perfect place for a holiday and when we contacted her with a couple of questions nothing was too much trouble and she gave us lots of suggestions for walks etc. We were so impressed with Rose Cottage we will definitely be making another visit!"

This is a lovely cottage which is extremely comfortable and well equipped (I could have made a cake as soon as we got there, including all the ingredients!). All the furniture, equipment, fixtures etc are of a high quality especially the comfortable beds, linen and fluffy towels. There is plenty of cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery. Also a good selection of books and some games. The garden is a delight and a real suntrap so perfect for a peaceful afternoon with a good book. It's also lovely for an evening drink outside with garden lights and outdoor candles. We have been lucky with fantastic weather and we have have enjoyed some costal walks. Even if your not a great walker getting to LLanbadrig church is reasonably ok (some steps)and its easy to walk backdown the road if one way is enough. Communication with Gillian was excellent as was all the information she provided about the property and the area. Highly recommended. We’ll be back !

What a fantastic week we’ve had . We’ve had a real mixed bag of weather, sun, wind, rain! It hasn’t stopped us exploring the area. Firstly the cottage has EVERYTHING! Gillian really has thought of everything you could possibly want. The garden is wonderful and we’ve loved sitting out with a glass of wine. There are some beautiful costal walks around the bay. We’ve also visited the Lobster Pot, Oystercatcher, Treaddur Bay and the local pub (The Stag) where we’ve et some lovely people. I think what has stood out for us is the personal service and touches from the owners. A lovely welcome basket and the contact beforehand, a welcome booklet was much appreciated. We shall return. Thank you so much,

What a fabulous week we have had at Rose Cottage - so well equipped with everything you need and such peaceful garden, The welcome hamper was really appreciated too. All of the Bea he’s we visited were beautiful and Red Wharf Bay was great for walking the dog followed by food at the Boat House. Thank you for all your recommendations - great Fish & Chips, Pizza from the hut at the beach & a drink with a view at the Gadlys. A brilliant base to explore Anglesey on our first family holiday - we have very fond memories and can’t wait to return.

My family and I spent a week at Rose Cottage from Saturday 16th July - 22nd July. Gillian is a fantastic host and our whole experience of the holiday was just perfect! The cottage is beautiful, it has everything you need and more. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are super comfy. The living room area is an adequate size too, with a log burner for the colder months, although we certainly didn't need it. The spacious conservatory overlooks the pretty garden, where we enjoyed several BBQ's during our stay. We highly recommend the kebabs and burgers from the butchers in the village. The kitchen is well equipped if you do want to cook, but if you can't be bothered with cooking, then you should try the Bay View Restaurant which is about a 10 minute walk through the fields to the top of the hill which overlooks the bay. The food and views are fantastic. At the back of the cottage is a woodland area where you can take a leisurely walk along the river, or down to the beach. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Anglesey, then Rose Cottage and Cemaes Bay will not disappoint you!

We loved your pretty, home from home cottage Gill. The garden looks amazing and appreciated the rain we had more than we did! We went to various beaches - Cemaes of course, Lllanddona and Red Wharf Bay which were all beautiful. We had a day in Beaumaris visiting the castle, the court and the prison. The Copper Museum at Amlwch and then walking around the mines at Parys Mountain is worth doing. The NT house and gardens had beautiful views of the Menai Straits. Sadly we didn’t see any red squirrels this time! While we waited to charge the car, we twice had excellent meals in the Harbour , museum bistro in Holyhead. Thanks again for giving us such a comfortable base to discover Anglesey.

Our week at Rose cottage was wonderful! Gill was so helpful throughout our booking and arrival and gave us lots of information, nothing seemed too much trouble and we were lucky enough to meet her a couple of times during our stay. Rose cottage is perfect and so well equipped, beds and bedding are really lovely. We were enchanted by the garden and enjoyed morning in the conservatory listening to the birds …a haven ! Anglesey has wonderful beaches and walks. We would recommend a trip to Plas Newydd the house is interesting and the gardens spectacular. Helen Mon salt factory tour is very interesting and the shop sell lots of goodies. Also worth a visit is Melin llynon they sell gorgeous coffee and Monuts! We had some lovely meals but our favourite restaurant was The Bay View at the Gadlys Hotel just a few minutes away. We will definitely return to rose cottage, Thank you Gill

We have stayed at Rose Cottage three times now, as soon as we open the door we feel at home, absolutely everything we need. The garden is beautiful - I love sitting in the conservatory looking out into the garden with my morning coffee or evening glass of wine, the walk in the morning with my dogs through the woods to the beach is just my happy place. Cemaes is a lovely village with great eating places, we love the Harbour Hotel food food is delicious but other great eating places in the surrounding area especially the Lobster Pot at Church Bay. The location is great to explore Anglesey. What more can I say but Rose Cottage is a Gem xx

Please email us with your dates and we will get back to you within 24 hours.
Check-in is at 3 pm and Check-out is at 10 am to allow for a safe and secure C-19 compliant clean by the professional cleaning company.

Should you arrive in Cemaes earlier, please give me a call or text on 07484150683 and I'll be able to confirm if the cottage is already cleaned and available.

We’ll ensure you have the Network Name and Password prior to your arrival and this will also be included within our welcome pack.
Almost all public parking within Cemaes is free (less those spots adjacent to the beach).

Ideally you will be able to use a spot straight across from the front door, however if this is busy (during peak tourist times), there is also a free council car park signposted less a 1 minute walk away.

There are no restrictions, it’s safe and there is usually plenty of space available.

This is a non smoking property so we please ask that you refrain from smoking indoors.  We have placed an ashtray outside in the garden for your convenience, but ask that you dispose of the remains.
We are happy to welcome one well behaved dog to enjoy our home. We ask that pets stay downstairs and off the furniture for the benefit of other guests.

We have an enclosed and private garden and you’ll be happy to hear that the main beach on Cemaes has a dog friendly zone.

You’ll also find that most of the bars and restaurants in Anglesey are pet friendly and we have provided a lot of links within the welcome pack for your convenience.

We pride ourselves on being able to providing a more personable service than that experienced through faceless companies. We therefore ask that you do not hesitate to contact us with any questions prior to, before or after your visit. Whether it’s to ask for a restuarant recommendation or which route to take, if it will enhance your enjoyment of your time at the cottage, please ask.

We will send the Terms and Conditions paperwork with any enquiries and ask that you contact us with any questions.
A deposit of £200 is required to confirm the booking. The remaining balance is not due until 6 weeks before arrival.
Unfortunately at this point time it is unlikely that we will be able to accept requests for weekend only stays.

As a customer you may feel the higher costs charged by C-19 compliant cleaning companies, already included within the prices on the availability calendar, can be prohibitive as they are the same whether your stay is for 2 nights or a week.

Aligned to this, a long weekend (normally from Fri to Sun or Mon) straddles two separate reservation periods. That said, should you wish to book from a Sat (the changeover day) to Mon, Tue or longer, this may be possible out of season and closer to the date.

Should the date of your anticipated short break remain unbooked nearer the date, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Likewise, please let us know if there is anything further I can assist with.
